    About the Position: This position is with Public Affairs Office located in downtown Los Angeles, California. The function of the Office is to conduct the public affairs program for the District Engineer. The program includes planning, organizing and directing all public information, command information and community relations activities.

    • Prepares and provides information to the media, the public, and the internal Corps audience.
    • This includes information about projects, programs, policies, activities and achievements of the Corps of Engineers.
    • Writes scripts, feature articles and releases for general and specialized news media and internal Corps use; researches material and prepares presentations.
    • Develops, designs and prepares visual displays using desktop publishing techniques, and developing and coordinating all aspects of command and public meetings.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
