    The Clinical Psychologist position is located in the Office of the Clinical Director (OCD), Office of the Scientific Director (OSD), National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). The OCD provides oversight of patient care and patient-related activities within the Division of Intramural Clinical and Biological Research (DICBR) including quality assurance, quality improvement, and human subject protections ensuring safety and confidentiality.

    • Develop and oversee independent research efforts in collaboration with other investigators in the NIAAA intramural program.
    • Evaluate clinical research for compliance to State and Federal regulations.
    • Independently perform quality assurance and monitoring functions when requested by the Office of the Clinical Director.
    • Serve as expert on the policies, procedures, rules, and regulations concerning clinical research studies.
    • Provide technical advice to the clinical science investigators on various clinical assessments, including cognitive and behavioral measures.
    • Organize and represent the Institute at scientific meetings, symposia, and conferences.
