DoD Insider Threat Management and Analysis Center (DITMAC) evaluates emerging threats utilizing a holistic risk-based approach and oversees mitigation of potential threats across the 45 DoD Component Insider Threat Programs covering nearly 12 million personnel. In response to an ever-changing operating environment and threat landscape, DITMAC is re-engineering to better anticipate and adapt to the evolving Insider Threat Enterprise and emerging threats. Central to this effort is the increased reliance upon data and trend analysis, which will facilitate more capable information-led, asset-focused, and threat-driven approaches to identify, assess, and mitigate risk. Specific missions unique to DITMAC and in support of the entire DoD enterprise are risk analysis and mitigation, unauthorized disclosure identification and support, subject matter expertise education, enterprise-wide metrics and trend analysis, as well insider threat program management focusing on DoD Insider Threat Enterprise compliance to national standards and workforce professionalization and development. DITMAC is in a unique position to acquire data from across the DoD to provide an enterprise perspective on trends within the insider threat community. This information can be leveraged to identify best practices, trends on the emerging threats based on metrics and data, as well as for enterprise wide recommendations for systematic mitigations. When risk is identified, the next logical question is how to mitigate the risk. Preferably, we will detect risks at an early stage before damage is done to the DoD and other stakeholders.
DCSA is under Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS); all Defense Intelligence positions under the DCIPS are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service. Non- DCIPS applicants selected for a DCIPS position must acknowledge in writing, prior to actual appointment to the DCIPS position, that the position for which he or she has been selected is in the excepted service and covered by DCIPS.
Applicants must be degree seeking students, enrolled at least half-time in an accredited educational institution. (Half- time enrollment is defined by the educational institution. For institutions that do not have a definition of half-time, half of full-time enrollment will be considered half-time.)
Must have completed 24 or more semester hours prior to start of position.
Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.

DCSA, as a newly designated Defense Agency is undergoing a multi-year transformation that includes a significant expansion of predecessor agencies' authorities and responsibilities. Mission accretion and associated growth in personnel and resources requires deliberate coordination and planning across operations and support activities to achieve effective outcomes while simultaneously establishing and integrating new activities, initiatives and projects. The new organization will be comprised of nearly 13,000 government and contractor personnel operation throughout the United States and overseas supporting stakeholders across the federal government.
