Counterintelligence
The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Counterintelligence (CI) Directorate provides direct support to the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), the Security Education and Training Awareness (SETA) Program, and the Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives Program (AAEP). The CI Directorate provides support to counterintelligence investigations, collections, operations, and analysis and production programs. Further, DCSA CI enhances the Defense community's early detection and reporting of foreign intelligence and non-state actor collection attempts against U.S. cleared contractors. The development of security countermeasures for the U.S. defense industrial base is among DCSA CI's top priorities.
DCSA is under Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS); all Defense Intelligence positions under the DCIPS are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service. Non- DCIPS applicants selected for a DCIPS position must acknowledge in writing, prior to actual appointment to the DCIPS position, that the position for which he or she has been selected is in the excepted service and covered by DCIPS.
Applicants must be degree seeking students, enrolled at least half-time in an accredited educational institution. Half-time enrollment is defined by the educational institution. For institutions that do not have a definition of half-time, half of full-time enrollment will be considered half-time.
Must have completed 24 or more semester hours prior to start of position.
Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
Students should have demonstrated interest and/or experience in the DCSA area to which they apply
