Supervisory Program Manager / PD# 28078-O
The Supervisory Program Manager (Deputy Chancellor) provides overall accountability and control over VAAA operations by assisting advising and deciding in the critical planning and execution of high-impact, multi-million-dollar acquisition workforce development programs. Specifically, the Deputy Chancellor will Supervise and manage up to 30 staff members, including GS-15 level managers and special staff. Use knowledge and experience to apply sound program/project management principles in ensuring development, execution and evaluation of highly technical and complex acquisition workforce development issues as well as acquisition projects. Use expert knowledge of program management and leadership principles to manage the on-going development, implementation, and operation of comprehensive career development and training programs. Use sound program management principles to ensure programs satisfy strategic and business needs and complies with budget and schedule requirements. Responsible for planning, programming, budgeting and execution, contracts development and management, and schedule development and management in order to achieve assigned performance outcomes. Establish and maintain close working relationships with officials in the VA organizational elements, various Federal agencies, professional associations, vendor representatives, educational institutions, and others in the Department of Veterans Affairs.
