    Program Specialist (Hearing Aid Coordinator) / PD# 44213-0

    This position is a Program Specialist (Hearing Aid Program Coordinator) and reports to the Supervisory Management and Program Analyst (Supervisor, Customer Service Section) for effectively executing and managing the Denver Logistic Center National Hearing Aid Program, serving as the organizations hearing aid and accessories subject matter expert (SME). The incumbent is responsible for three main functional areas: customer service, Hearing Aid Program management, and training. The Program Specialist is responsible for providing customer service on all Denver Logistic Center items and hearing aid related tasks including Remote Order Entry System (ROES) problem resolution, external and internal training on all hearing aid products covered in the Hearing Aid Contract. The incumbent works closely with the Commodities and Services Acquisition Service (CSAS) as a critical point of contact with hearing aid manufacturers. The incumbent is responsible for promoting good customer relations through constant communication, follow-up, counseling, and selling techniques. They determine battery schedules for all hearing aids on contracts and keep electronic files of these schedules up to date. They develop and update policies and procedures for the hearing aid program. The incumbent is a primary participant in the development of hearing aid automation processes, which include hearing aid order processing, order rejection processing, model changes, component changes, timeliness, and ease of system use. They are responsible for the development of all customer notifications regarding the hearing aid program, including hearing aids, Cochlear Implants, stock hearing aids, assistive listening devices, assistive devices and accessories. They may be required to perform the duties of a contracting officer representative (COR) level one and assist in maintaining hearing aid and component publication sheets for customer use. They are also responsible for identifying and defining hearing aid and assistive device makes, models, and battery sizes and entering them into the Denver Logistic Center inventory product file. Incumbent provides customer training to users who order products and services from Denver Logistic Center.
