    Summary

    This position is located in Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Management Services Service Unit, People Services Directorate, Policy Oversight Group, Workplace Management Team, AJG-P32. This Group provides service integral to retention of our employees and stability of the ATO infrastructure. Our goal is to ensure the ATO is represented in Agency policies and practices affecting performance, recognition, organizational design, workplace flexibilities, and business analytics and business analytics.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for managing programs and processes focused on business analytics for the Director, Deputy Director, and Group Managers within People Services.

    Applies experience and comprehensive knowledge of mathematical, statistical, econometric and other scientific methods and techniques to perform analyses of business processes, to solve complex problems and develop improved technical processes or systems.

    Provides policy guidance and instruction in the formulation and development of highly complex and challenging business analytical studies and projects at the national level.

    Applies knowledge of interrelated, interacting, or interdependent elements forming a complex whole and process and operation of analysis (systems) to perform analyses of business processes. Typical assignments may include, complex systems design and integration of management tools, extensive research and analysis, and oversight of associated projects/programs. He/she will be required to

    Gather business requirements to conceptualize, design, and deliver People Services-related dashboards. Responsible for managing the organization's SharePoint Network, website management, and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

    Applies comprehensive knowledge of Federal policies and objectives in the development, implementation, administration of business processes and key management tools. He/she

    Analyzes and evaluates data from business analytic software to solve problems and to identify opportunities to improve business processes. Focusing on the effective use of resources (people and technology), the analyst applies business analytic experience in analyzing and translating organizational business requirements into system deployments and/or business process changes.

    Uses modeling to forecast performance and reliability of a systems. He/she uses

    Establishes rules and procedures in order to recommend economic, effective and feasible solutions to meet project requirements and constraints.

    Uses rigorous scientific analysis to evaluates data and reports to management regarding unusual deviations from established plans and policies.

    Interprets and manipulates data into communication materials using infographics, presentations, and quick guides.

    Establishes and maintains databases to track, monitor, and analyze trends and prepares monthly, quarterly, and interim reports to keep management abreast.

    Forms clear, well-supported, data-driven recommendations by synthesizing complex qualitative and quantitative data.

    Prepares statistical analysis reports and detailed analyses to formulate probable outcomes.

    Leads complex and challenging business analyses/studies of ATO-wide program plans; provides recommendations to streamline processes as well as improve work flow, management policies, and organizational structure.

    Solves unusual problems and may create new solutions and policy interpretations as required. Provides policy guidance and instruction to others, both internally and externally.

    Communicates results to all levels internally within Management Services and ATO service units.

    Plays a lead role in drafting, reviewing, and editing reports or contractual documents for final approval prior to external distribution.

    Coordinates significant technical matters with representatives of external organizations.

    Work activities typically impact directly on the objectives of one or more major subdivisions or LOB's/SO's and may impact on the objectives of the FAA. In some areas, the work may affect the safety and security of customers.
