    Summary

    This position is located under the Chief of Staff at the Fargo VA Health Care System. The purpose of this position is to manage credentialing and privileging for all dependent providers at the facility.

    Responsibilities

    Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Performs primary source verification of credentials for register nurses, occupational, social workers, all other Dependent Providers is complete prior to initial date of employment;
    • Provides guidance to on-boarding providers on credentialing processes per VHA requirements;
    • Conducts individual review of Primary Source Verification entities and website disclaimers to determine validity and continued maintenance;
    • Documents all efforts to obtain Primary Source Verifications and Secondary Source Verification via Report of Contact;
    • Oversees electronic credentialing system;
    • Manages electronic credentialing system access levels to ensure compliance;
    • Generates electronic credentialing system reports and report cards;
    • Evaluates data pulled to identify provider files and areas that require immediate attention;
    • Conducts independent electronic file audits;
    • Coordinates with internal and external customers to facilitate timely sharing of information related to credentialing and respond to inquiries regarding providers appointment status;
    • Holds purchase card for primary source verifications;
    • Maintains purchasing and reconciliation records for all transactions and adhere to monthly charge limits; and
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00AM-4:30PM
