This position is located in the Housing Division, Directorate of Logistics, at a Category "A", ARNG major training area (MTA). The incumbent receives a variety of assignments usually related to occupancy and termination activities and the operation of a warehousing function.The incumbent assists the Housing Officer in the supervision of Warehouse Workers and Laborers. The work normally involves the performance of standard housing management functions that compose several segments of a broader project or program assignment.
1. Processes requests for temporary quarters.
2. Assists in the assignment of troop issue housing and administrative space.
3. Assists the Housing Officer in the supervision of warehousing operations, the performance of joint tenant-management inspections of quarters, and the issue and receipt of buildings, furnishings and equipment by performing the following duties:

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Your Resume must list some experience in each of these areas: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of housing management methods, practices and operating techniques. Experience communicating information both verbally and in writing, and the ability to meet and deal with individuals and groups.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your Resume must show at least [ 12 ] months in each of the following areas: Must have at least 12 months experience, education or training determining deficiencies of housing and coordinating the required services to correct the deficiencies. Experience reviewing housing applications for accuracy and completeness. Experience monitoring housing assignments in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures. Experience in conducting audits and preparing reports. Experience using automated systems to update, retrieve and analyze data.
Quality of Experience - Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
Military Requirements - Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS. Specific requirements are found in: references listed below, NGB Compatibility tables and your local Personnel section.
*Other Requirements - For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver's license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
