    Responsibilities

     As a Supervisory Statistician, you will perform the following duties:

    • Oversee high priority national programs and operations to include survey statistics, information management, and population biology relevant to monitoring recreational and commercial fisheries.
    • Develop strategic and tactical ideas to implement effective operational and national coordination of data collection and information management programs for recreational and commercial fisheries statistics.
    • Supervise Recreational and Commercial Fishery Science personnel and oversee the operations, programs, and budget plans of the Division.
    • Provide counsel and lead the development of communications products to support NMFS senior Agency Leaders, including the Assistant Administrator, the Chief Science Advisor & Director of Scientific Programs, and the Director of the Office of Science & Technology in briefing and negotiating program

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Up to 20% of foreign and domestic travel may be required.
