STATEMENT OF PRACTICE: The incumbent will render optometry services by conducting regularly scheduled clinics. Provides diagnostic, preventative, and therapeutic health services to patients to include the full spectrum of low vision devices including spectacles, hand held and stand magnifiers, handheld and spectacle mounted telescopes, bioptic mounted telescopes, electronic aids (CCTV, head mounted video magnifier, etc). The incumbent will assist in the administration of the eye clinic to include developing plans and procedures to enhance eye care delivery. They will integrate eye care service with other professionals. This position may require travel to outlying clinics up to 15 days per year.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday: 7:30 am to 16:00 pm

Physical Requirements: A pre-placement physical examination will be completed prior to appointment to determine the physical and mental fitness of candidates. The examination will be concerned with the mental and physical ability of the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the proposed assignment and will include requisite laboratory and other screening as required by Federal regulatory agencies.
