Actively engages in Agile planning and contributes to strategic and tactical planning sessions; develops prototypes and minimally viable products (MVPs) from brainstorming sessions. Responsible for developing server-side code, application, and data logic and integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers. Writes APIs based on standard contemporary industry formats to be used by front-end developers; and maintains, develops, tests, deploys and operates applications and back-end databases which may use Unisys ClearPath software. Works closely with the customers and team, developing new services or existing services to expand the project’s software and data capabilities. Designs and develops back-end databases, applications and APIs with state of the art software. Serves as a coordinator and representative for GSA for major project issues and meetings involving other internal and external organizations, and provides advice, comments, and recommendations as appropriate.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $102,663.00 per year.

To qualify, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating EACH of the four competencies AND one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service as described below:
IT SPECIALIST COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Specialized experience is defined as experience as an Information Technology Project Manager and Software Developer that demonstrates experience using mainframe technology and software. Experience must include modernization and transformation of mainframe applications to modern commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and/or open source solutions; leading software development using Agile methodologies including Scrum, XP, or Scaled Agile; and implementing innovative cloud and/or emerging technology solutions.
