    About the Position: The position is assigned to the Planning and Policy Branch, Environmental Analysis Section in the Water Resources Division. Prepare National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance documents that describe environmental conditions and describe potential environmental impacts of proposed projects to environmental resources and any water permits.

    This position is being filled under the direct hiring authority.

    • Prepares technical environmental reports including NEPA compliance documents (Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements) and associated reports.
    • Obtains all required environmental permits and approvals to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements.
    • Serves as plan formulator for ecosystem restoration projects which includes development of project alternatives and conducting ecomodeling analyses to assess project environmental benefits.
    • Coordinates NEPA scoping and report findings with the federal, state, and local governments and the public and addressees comments in integrated project reports.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Business travel may be up to 25%.
