This position is located in the Policies and Resources Division, Office of Contracting and Personal Property Management (OCon&PPM), Office of Under Secretary for Finance and Administration (USFA), Smithsonian Institution. The program analyst is responsible for assisting the overall planning, management, and maintenance of the Smithsonian Institution contracting, procurement, charge card, travel, personal property, and OCon&PPM training programs' policies and procedures.Learn more about this agency
- Ability to use a wide range of qualitative and quantitative analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct studies of OCon&PPM functions, processes, procedures and operation that lead to improvement and effectiveness of operations
- Skill in written communication techniques to revise and draft various policy documents. Prepares and delivers reports, briefings, and other presentations in support of recommendations and findings related to internal and external inquiries
- Technical ability to navigate online resources and systems. Skill in customer service relationships to be responsive to unit queries and report findings and recommendations for unit improvements
- Skill in oral communication in order to conduct reviews of programs and activities and report findings and recommendations for unit improvements
Occasional travel - 5% of domestic travel
