    Summary

    You will serve as a Interdisciplinary Physical Scientist in the MIW Technologies Division (NP63), Mine Warefare Department (NP6) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

    Responsibilities

    • You will serves as a Project Manager and Division Lead in the development and maintenance of Mine Warfare (MIW) environmental databases.
    • You will maintains quality control standards for the software supporting data entering master file databases.
    • You will manages the workflow of updates to sonar imagery processing programs through the Division.
    • You will apply principles and/or practices of computer science in determining optimum use of computer hardware and design of software for database use.
    • You will provides technical input and integrated analytical support to customers in support of mine warfare data analysis and database development.
    • You will serve as liaison with customers and other agencies, contractors, and research institutions to develop databases or other products.
    • You will provide technical guidance and/or designate work assignments to lower-grade scientists and personnel assigned to projects.
    • You will assist the Division Director in the preparation of the yearly budget and serves as Acquisition Plan Manager for various acquisitions.
    • You will regularly provide technical briefs to specialists within NAVOCEANO, subject matter experts from other Navy agencies, and high-ranking visitors.

    50% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position.
