    About the Position: Serves as an agent of the commander of assigned organization on accounting, financial, and managerial issues that require examination by a financial professional.

    • Applies a comprehensive knowledge of analysis/reporting requirements, work processes, accounting systems structure and data produced to resolve significant accounting and management problems
    • Identifies training needs of employees and assures the conduct of such training
    • Keeps Command Group and appropriate unit/staff section chiefs informed of status of findings of internal and external audits
    • Initiates and coordinates audits that typically involve complex highly integrated accounting and operational problems
    • Verifies proper use of funds, and monitors status of financial activity to preclude or detect violations of government statutes or other funding limitations
    • Accomplishes internal audit steps by applying Government Auditing Standards and a wide range of audit techniques in gathering, documenting and summarizing data
