    Responsibilities

    As a Fish Biologist, you will perform the following duties:

    • Provide guidance, oversight, and direction of protected and recovering endangered species and habitats in coastal California.
    • Develop policies and guidance in compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
    • Oversee implementation of Magnuson Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, Endangered Species Act, and Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, for improved regulatory efficiency.
    • Communicate complex technical subjects to Regional leadership staff and external stakeholder groups.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Up to 10% of domestic travel may be required.
