    Summary



    The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for working up consults that are referred to the Urology Service. Conduct H&P's in the clinics pre op and follow up post op clinic visits. Order's x-rays, Ultrasounds, Interventional Radiology procedures and labs pre and post op on Urology patients. Submit consults to specialty clinics and services for OR clearance. Conduct pre and post op phone calls as well as coordinating with outside providers within and outside of the VA facilities.

    Responsibilities

    Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

    • Working up consults that are referred to the Urology Service
    • Conduct history and physicals in the pre-op phase of care
    • Follow up with post-op clinic care
    • Order testing and diagnostics as necessary
    • Submit consults to specialty clinics or services for OR clearance
    • Conduct pre-op and post-op phone calls as well as coordinate with outside providers within and outside of VA

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0800-1630 with extended hours as necessary to meet patient needs. No weekends, holidays or call
