    The incumbent assists the field offices and staff in developing and implementing a comprehensive natural resource conservation program throughout the geographic area of responsibility by providing technical guidance, assistance, and evaluation on matters related Farm Bill Programs and Conservation Program contracting and implementation.

    • Works with landowners and operators to develop a wide variety of conservation plans according to established policies and procedures and in accordance with landowners' decisions.
    • Provides program support to resource conservationists, field office personnel and technical service providers in carrying out Farm Bill Programs, policies and procedures in resource conservation planning, contracting, and conservation management.
    • Communicates NRCS conservation programs and other activities using information tools and techniques to promote district and agency programs among the general public, markets services, and provides conservation planning advice to customers.
    • Provides program management, training and quality control for NRCS Farm Bill Programs and other programs as they are legislated to the technical office and field offices.
