    This position is part of the R4-Wildlife and Sportfish Restoration. As a Fish and Wildlife Biologist you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to mulitiple states in obtaining or regaining grant eligibility.

    Major Duties Include:

    • Administers the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Grant Programs
    • Analyzes grant proposals to determine if they are in accordance with legislative criteria, are biologically sound, are economically planned, and will yield benefits commensurate with costs
    • Inspects ongoing projects to ensure that their development and/or use is in accordance with the approved project
    • Provides consultation, advice, and guidance to the professional staff of State Fish and Wildlife agencies in matters which are often complex and involving state of the science, technically challenging approaches and situations
    • Identifies special grant and project training needs of the States within the Region and provides recommendations to resolve them.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - You may be expected to travel up to 25% of the time for this position.
