This position is located in the Cultural Resources Directorate, Office of Science, Technology, and Training, Media Outreach Program. The primary purpose of the position is to manage a program that develops, maintains, and implements mission-related media for print and web applications for the entire directorate, and other units in the National Park Service. The team is made up of IT Specialists (Web) and Visual Resource Specialists. who are located in both Natchitoches, LA, and Washington,DC.

The major duties of the Supervisory Visual Information Specialist include, but are not limited to the following:
There is no substitution of education for experience at the grade level(s) of this announcement.
This announcement may be used to fill additional positions if identical vacancies occur within 90 days of the issue date of the referral certificate.
Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary requiring only occasional lifting and moving of computer and other graphic generating equipment (up to 40 lbs) incident to troubleshooting or upgrading equipment. Travel will be required 3-4 nights per month.
Working Conditions: The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework only during an emergency or natural disaster.
