    This position is located in the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Greater Atlantic Regional Fisheries Office (GARFO) with two vacancies located in Gloucester, MA.

    Responsibilities

    As a Statistician, you will perform the following duties:
    • Coordinate simultaneous complex projects in support of development, review, and implementation of fishery management programs.
    • Ensure that analytical processes function accurately, efficiently, and are standardized and fully documented to be consistent with management programs and policies.
    • Maintain quality review processes to ensure programming code produces correct results and coordinate with constituents and staff that provide data and/or technical support to ensure accuracy.
    • Perform technical aspects of various statistical programs and projects involving formulating projects and establishing criteria, while investigating a variety of unusual problems.

    Occasional travel - Up to 5% domestic travel.
