    Responsibilities

    • Acts as a consultant providing professional engineering assistance on engineering matters pertaining to the Bureau’s planning process.
    • Has the responsibility for preparation and supervision of feasibility studies, surveys, designs and plans for the District’s buildings, building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc), bridges, culverts, recreation facilities, administrative sites, water and sewer pipelines, range improvement projects, dams, and watershed treatment programs, along with the road and trail construction programs.
    • Aids the District Engineer or responsible Engineer as a technical representative during safety inspections of bridges and dams and assists with preparation of the recommendations for repairs and maintenance.
    • Prepares contract specifications, drawings and contract cost estimates for submission to the proper contracting authority.
    • Makes engineering computations requiring the use of algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus; use calculators, computers, computer-aided-drafting and word processing software as required in surveying, design and contract preparation.

    50% or less - Travel may be required up to 15 days per month.
