    This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Secretary.

    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Advance and Protocol Representative within the Office of the Chief of Staff and reports to the Director of Advance and Protocol.

    As a Advance and Protocol Representative GS 0301 11/12/13, your typical work assignments may include:

    • Coordinating with the Director of Advance and Protocol to ensure all necessary arrangements are made in advance of the Secretary's scheduled obligations.
    • Making complex and sensitive advance arrangements to best utilize the Secretary's time and achieve the mission objective.
    • Maintaining effective working relationships with senior DHS leaders, other departmental offices, other government officials, offices of foreign dignitaries, and others in order to execute cabinet-level protocol functions.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
