    As a Management and Program Analyst for the Workforce Development Branch (AML-24), within the Business Systems Group of the FAA Logistics Center you will perform a combination of routine, multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of a manager or more experienced professional. Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team for projects/programs within the Workforce Development Branch.

    The incumbent applies experience and detailed knowledge applicable to human resource functions, training, manpower/personnel, protocol, rewards and recognition, organizational communications and various special projects to plan and accomplish assignments. Provides staff support related to planning, evaluating and administering workforce management programs. Supports management in confidential related personnel matters in the preparation of bargaining unit negotiations, which includes but is not limited to the development of responses to bargaining unit inquires, grievances, and notifications to union representatives.

    Serves as the FAA Logistics Center organizational training coordinator and focal point on electronic Learner Management System (eLMS). Works independently and utilizes assigned resources to accomplish training requirements. Provides guidance and assistance to lower graded analyst on training policies, procedures and eLMS functions. Collects, analyzes and compiles all technical and non-technical training requirements for the FAA Logistics Center. Monitors and maintains the FAA Logistics Center annual training budget and confirms funds availability for all requested/required Logistics Center training.

    Contacts are primarily internal to the organizational unit, major subdivision, or LOB/SO with a manager and other employees to share information, provide data and/or written analyses, and/or explain the statuses of assignments. Has frequent contact with managers and supervisor to ensure identified training requirements are met. Communicates with vendors and FAA Academy to research, obtain and purchase required training for Logistics Center employees.

    Prepares a variety of written communications such as correspondence, speeches, messages, reports, policy letters, and fact sheets. Designs publications, brochures, presentation materials and exhibition/display materials for Logistics Center product/service promotional activities. Coordinates multimedia and printing services and supplies in support of design efforts. Works within the organization to obtain pertinent and updated information to ensure the AML Website is accurate and current information being displayed.

    Prepares administrative reports, as required, to update management on various administrative services that relate to human resource functions. Ability to prepare regular and recurring reports based on analysis performed and consideration of program requirements. Develops and presents briefing material, as required, on assigned functions. Participates in meetings regarding human resource functions to discuss problems, determine resolutions and decisions.

    Established policies/procedures provide guidance for most assignments, but allow some discretion to select the most appropriate approach. Typically receives guidance on selecting approach from the manager. Refers problems and work issues to a manager or experienced professional when guidelines are not available or applicable. Work is typically reviewed frequently during assignments and at completion to ensure timeliness, policy compliance, and alignment with the requirements of the project or other work activity. The work may affect internal and external customers.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis. The travel may be for training or other work-related duties.
