    This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD), Office of Block Grant Assistance (OBGA).

    Responsibilities

    The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

    • Coordinates and analyzes the administrative and management operations between multiple offices to determine present work flow, procedures, and productivity. Utilizes knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, policies and/or procedures to recommend changes to existing OBGA guidelines to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    • Provides advice and guidance concerning the interpretation of OBGA policies. Communicates and corresponds with 43 field offices, grantees, public interest groups, and others. Responds to citizen inquiries through the OBGA Office Director.
    • Establishes and adapts analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to develop or modify administrative work methods, approaches or procedures. Identifies, evaluates and recommends solutions to administrative issues and problems that could hinder OBGA’s mission.
    • Reviews CPD IT systems to obtain information. Analyzes sample data, reviews files, and performs inspections of funded activities to ascertain grantee compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
