This position serves as an Information Technology Specialist for a team in the Office of Foreign Missions, serving under the Office of The Under Secretary for Management to the Department of State.

- Responsible for reviewing and analyzing systems specifications across all applications in TOMIS and conducting system analyses to ensure efficient operations of M/OFM/OPS/IT applications.
- Provides guidance to OFM staff during internal and user acceptance testing to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle.
- Performs post-release verification of all software before deployment, as well as, post-implementation testing after deployment.
- Develops and maintains software testing documentation to support the development and deployment of new or modified computer applications.
- Monitors and documents Contractor performance concerning software development quality and required deliverables.

Have at least 1 full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing, documenting, testing and supporting new or existing applications software by conducting system analyses.
NOTE: In order to qualify for this position, your experience MUST be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.
