    In this position, you will manage the day-to-day Director's office functions. In managing the office, the incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of the organization, functions, and operations of the programs for which the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) Division is responsible.

    • The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to:
    • Coordinates and performs a wide variety of administrative and analytical duties, a variety of liaison activities, special assignments and other essential missions related to the operations.
    • Reviews all outgoing correspondence including jacket letters, briefing papers and Division directives to ensure that the material is properly related to the basic issue or request.
    • Receives and reads all incoming correspondence, documents, directives, etc.
    • Projects necessary travel budget and tracks travel related expenditures.
    • Makes final audit of time and attendance reports, expense accounts, and other vouchers.
    • Receives, schedules, refers, and contacts agency and persons outside the agency ranging from other government agencies to the general public.
