    Summary

    The primary purpose of this position is to plan, manage, coordinate, advise, execute, and train on matters pertaining to protocol for 12 AF (AFSOUTH). To serve as an event planner for visits by distinguished visitors and groups for events such as special purpose meetings and conferences, awards presentations and various ceremonies, to include senior leadership conferences, technical symposiums, changes of command, community leader events, budgeting, procurement, and inventory control.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as Protocol Specialist, responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing visits by distinguished persons.
    • Leads or participates in special initiatives, studies and special projects and initiatives and performs non-routine assignments.
    • Prepares necessary correspondence, documentation, and written reports; Submits and updates protocol reports and correspondence.
    • Maintains custodial control of the Commander's Official Representation Funds (ORF) gift locker and Special Morale and Welfare (SM and W) Funds for events/activities for host and associates Air Force Units.
