    This position is located in the Design and Preservation Planning Branch of the Historic Architecture, Conservation and Engineering Center in the Northeast Regional Office.

    As a Landscape Architect GS-0807-12, with the National Park Service (NPS), your duties will include, but are not limited to:

    • Advise on cultural landscape restoration or preservation projects to ensure that all historic and culturally significant aspects are preserved.
    • Develop engineering and landscape architectural drawings and specifications
    • Conduct research, investigations, assessments and evaluations.
    • Participate in planning studies for existing or proposed areas where cultural landscape preservation is a significant factor.
    • Conduct investigations of project sites to determine the feasibility of the project including the development of design alternatives and analysis to ensure the project comply with applicable policies; federal, state and local standards.
    • Prepare architectural and engineering design task orders that describes the professional services required to meet the project objectives and requirements.
    • Develop and carry out research projects for advancement of technical knowledge directly related to landscape preservation treatment projects.
