    Summary

    You will serve as a POSITION MANAGEMENT AND CLASSIFICATION PROGRAM MANAGAER in the HUMAN CAPITAL OFFICE of the NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.

    Responsibilities

    • You will initiate special studies, pilot programs, and other appropriate actions to establish and maintain an effective position management and classification program.
    • You will provide technical advice and guidance on all aspects of the position management and classification program.
    • You will formulate policies and guidelines, review existing and new proposed position management and classification business practices, and recommend changes to ensure continuous improvement in HR management.
    • You will plan and conduct studies in evaluating the total agency position management and classification program.
    • You will analyze the program to determine the needs of the agency.
    • You will interpret and apply classification standards; determine effective organization and position structures, position management policies and practices; and review contracting-out and realignment proposals, RIF and transfer-of-functions actions.
