    This position is being filled through the Direct Hire Authority for this occupation and is open to all US Citizens. This position is located in the Center of Biologics Research and Evaluation (CBER) in Silver Spring, MD.

    Additional selections may be made within the same geographical area FDA-wide.

    • Spend 25 percent of work time as a team lead of employees performing two-grade interval work;
    • Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, and work; communicate to the team milestones;
    • Coach the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques;
    • Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload among employees; arranging for team member training; monitor and report on the status and progress of work;
    • Review, evaluate and comment on chemical aspects of license applications and IND's for biological products submitted to the Center;
    • Prepare manuscripts for publication based upon work performed within the laboratory or in collaboration with others;
    • Provide information, expertise and consultation to individuals, other Federal agencies, private industry, and foreign governments.
