    This position is located in the Office of the Chief of Protocol, Diplomatic Affairs Division (S/CPR/DA). The incumbent serves as a Protocol Officer under the
    general supervision of the Assistant Chief of Protocol for Diplomatic Affairs and direct supervision of the Diplomatic Affairs Supervisory Officer with daily oversight
    of the domestic worker program.

    • At the GS-11 level, the incumbent performs essentially the same duties as outlined below; however, the scope and complexity of assignments are of less responsibility and independence and receives closer supervision than the GS-12 level.
    • Serves as a Protocol Officer on matters that pertain to the fair treatment and employment of foreign domestic workers employed by foreign mission members in the United States.
    • Conducts domestic worker In-person Registration Appointments.
    • Liaises with foreign embassies and international organizations and Department of State counterparts on matters relating to domestic workers; tracks an assigned caseload.
    • Performs other assignments as required to implement the mission of the Diplomatic Affairs Division and the Office of the Chief of Protocol.
