    Summary

    The incumbent of this position conducts research in the various aspects of behavioral, social and cultural influences on recruitment and interview strategies, methods, tool, and techniques to identify and attract an appropriate pool of test respondents for research studies/projects.

    Responsibilities

    As a Behavioral Scientist you will:

    • Research literature on new and emerging behavioral, social, cognitive, and/or statistical dimensions of survey methodology.
    • Conduct research and evaluation to assess the appropriateness of recruiting methods and practices (e.g., the adequacy of candidates, where to recruit, how to increase participation, the effectiveness in meeting program requirements, etc.).
    • Develops methods, strategies and tools to improve respondent recruitment and interviewing.
    • Establishes processes and implementation of protocols for the protection, retention, security, use and destruction of recordings.
    • Prepares project documentation for all projects undertaken by the branch, including comprehensive study protocols and clearance packages for submission to the Center's Research Ethics Review Board and OMB.
