    About the Position: About the Position: Full performance level for position is, GS-12. This position may be filled at GS-11 or the GS-12 levels. If selected at GS-11, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the GS-12 after meeting requirements, and upon recommendation of management.
    This position is being filled under the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for Scientific, Technical, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) positions in accordance with 5 U.S.C. Section 3304 and 5 CFR Part 337, Subpart B.

    • Prepares scope and budget for Civil aspects of design.
    • Develops plans, specifications and design analysis for all civil engineering features. To include site plans, grading and drainage plans and utility plans.
    • Independently develops calculations for storm drainage, water distribution, and sanitary sewer design for complex project.
    • Expertise in the use of Microstation and InRaods as a design tool.
    • Expertise in the use of AutoCad and Civil 3D as a design tool.
    • From plans/Computerized-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) is used to compute estimate of quantities for all aspects of the civil design for military and civil works projects to include earthwork.
    • Able to review plans prepared by A-E for accuracy and completeness and adherence to District CADD standards.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel up to 5% for this position.
