    The primary purpose of this position is to supervise an office of auditors who provide continuing independent review of financial, account, and/ or management operations and controls to ensure that funds, personnel, equipment and other resources are employed effectively, securely, economically, and within legal and administrative constraints.

    • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures,and directives of management.
    • Establishes long-term and short-term goals and plans to enhance Air Force performance and promote customer focus. Meets with senior management officials and maintains a working knowledge of host and satellite base missions.
    • Directs the day-to-day management of audit activities for improving key Air Force business processes and support services. Implements Agency plans (strategic, long-term, and short-term)
    • Produces quality products that address customer needs. Reviews and processes outlines, drafts, final audit reports, and other written products.
    • Provides feedback to auditors after receipt of the product.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
