    About the Position: Serves as a staff-level Human Resources (HR) Specialist (Military) with responsibility for providing technical advice and guidance regarding a wide variety of military HR program sto the Garrison Director of Human Resources (DHR) in support of the military population at Yongsan and Camp Casey Korea.. Will work under a greater level of supervision at the GS-11 level. This position has been designated unaccompanied (see additional information below).

    • Manages and continually monitors military personnel authorizations and military staffing to determine requirements for assignments and based on needs.
    • Coordinates with IMCOM Pacific G1 on the officer Mission Essential Requirements (MER) report) to ensure proper fill of positions.
    • Manages and oversees several military personnel action programs for the command to include such activities as Awards, Promotions, Personnel Actions, TASP, ADPASS, and Command Sponsorship Requests.
    • Ensures all personnel actions to include awards are reviewed for accuracy and completeness.
    • Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) with the overall responsibility for planning, reviewing, administrating, and monitoring HR related contracts.
    • Reviews changes in DoD, DA, AMC and IMCOM policies and procedures and identifies the impact of changes on the garrison. Drafts military HR policies and guides to meet the needs and goals of the garrison.
    • Serves as the garrison primary HR trainer responsible for all military HR training.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - 10% business travel.
