Specialized Experience:
GS-11 Level: Specialized Experience is defined as one (1) year of experience equivalent to GS-10 level. Specialized experience for this grade level demonstrates experience with the full range of understanding of SAA proposals and preparation of recommendation, through understanding of SAA process as it relates to approval and acceptance of school and training facilities. The knowledge of SAA contracts and the process of reviewing these contracts for accuracy and completeness. Ability to solve complex problems with SAA relating to the inspection, approval and supervision of training institutions and establishments under the law.
Applicants may substitute education for the experience required for the GS-11 level:
1. Ability to communicate in writing that demonstrates the ability to present the information in an organized and clear manner that stays on topic.
2. Ability to apply decision making skills deliberately and thoughtfully while considering and include all relevant factors in the process.
3. Ability to use analytical and deducting reasoning to formulate responses.
4. Ability to verbally communicate that is clear and assertive that ensures accuracy of information that is specific and detailed.
Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary with occasional walking and bending. Work requires
lengthy periods viewing video display terminals and extensive use of computer keyboarding. Work requires frequent travel (local and long distance).
