    Responsibilities

    The incumbent performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties assigned by the Associate Warden(s). These duties are auxiliary to the work of the organization.  The incumbent is expected to apply a working knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to this office and all aspects of the institution.

    Incumbent receives, distributes, and routes incoming/outgoing correspondence, screens material prior to distribution to the appropriate person and establishes suspense due dates. Maintains supervisor’s calendar, takes request for appointments, schedules and confirms his/her appointments, special events and conferences and ensures that the supervisor is fully briefed on matters to be considered before the scheduled meeting.

    Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
