This position serves as a program analyst for the Office of Airports (ARP), Eastern Region, responsible for managing various administrative and technical functions for the Safety and Standards (620), in support of the Eastern Region.Learn more about this agency
The incumbent will provide program support with limited direction of Management. He/she will assist managers and professional staff in accomplishing such programs as; Title 14 CFR Part 139 Certification of Airports and Safety Management Systems (SMS) (Optional Programs: Compliance, Engineering, Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) and/or Airport Improvement Program). The incumbent works with more experienced professionals to accomplish tasks, work will be reviewed at major stages of assigned tasks and at completion to ensure timeliness and alignment with the requirements of the project and/or work activities. The incumbent under limited direction of Management or Lead Inspector works with Part 139 safety inspectors on the compilation of data and analysis needed for upcoming inspections and follow up coordination after an inspection . This includes gathering technical data collection, compiling data on incident and accident investigations, airport incidents, inspection discrepancies, vehicle pedestrian deviations (VPDs), aircraft excursions and wildlife strikes. Under limited direction of Management or the Lead Inspector the incumbent gathers. reviews and inputs technical data in preparation of bimonthly reports, monthly dashboard requests and completes other airport certification and safety program tracking. The incumbent compiles, tracks and analyzes data utilizing available national/regional data tracking tools. They submit various reports based on their review and analysis. In addition, he/she will provides support as needed for the Engineering and Compliance Programs. Tracks, prepares and coordinates controlled correspondence including Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) inquiries and congressional letters. Maintains action log and reports on effective dates, clearance requirements, and other statistics such as congressional correspondence, document reviews, monthly reports, etc. Reviews and processes travel arrangements and serves as timekeeper for the Division and/or branches . Provides backup as necessary for management assistant for phone and other miscellaneous duties.
