    This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Asset Logistics Division (ALD), Logistics Supply Support Branch, in Baltimore, Maryland.

    This role leads a group of Material Handlers in the performance of warehousing duties such as receiving, checking, identifying, counting, storing, issuing and packaging a wide variety of material.

    Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.

    Typical work assignments include:

    - Serving as work leader - communicating to the team the assignment and deadlines and time frames for completion.

    - Identifying, distributing, and balancing workload among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level, and/or occupational specialization.

    - Monitoring and reporting on the status and progress of work.

    - Preparing reports and maintaining records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required.

    - Organizing incoming shipments for maximum space utilization, safety considerations and damage protection.

    - Developing space management plans and coordination schedules.

    - Serving as senior member on a team of material handlers involved in special projects to maintain material accountability.
