    This position is located in the Department of Labor (DOL), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Directorate of Technical Support and Emergency Management (DTSEM) in the Office of Occupational Medical and Nursing (OOMN). The mission of the Directorate is to provide expertise in the areas of emergency preparedness, response and recovery, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and occupational medicine and nursing.

    • Providing professional nursing-related care to Compliance Safety and Health Officers (CSHO) through activities that protect, promote, and optimize their health and that supports the prevention of illness and/or injury in the field.
    • Serving as a staff expert/technical authority and consultant to the Director of OOMN concerning broad occupational health matters with special expertise in occupational health nursing and particularly supporting the administration and performance of the OSHA Medical Examination Program (OMEP).
    • Collection, review, and analysis of information relevant to evaluation, planning, and conduct of studies and special projects that support consultation requests for field enforcement actions.
    • Providing technical guidance and assistance to various concerned entities throughout the Agency particularly concerning occupational health and occupational health nursing.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Occasional travel of 10% or less.
