    Summary

    The Bureau of the Fiscal Service's Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs. Successful applicants are placed in a dynamic, developmental program with the potential to lead to a civil service career in the Federal Government.

    Responsibilities

    The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. You will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this developmental position.

    - Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for submission that are in compliance with governing regulations.
    - Develop and maintain accounting controls to assure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records.
    - Conduct studies and projects to improve policy, procedures, and controls and determine the feasibility of proposed and mandated changes to the programs.
    - Assist in the development and implementation of effective cash management and reporting policies and procedures for Fiscal Service stakeholders relating to the cash accounts of the Treasury. 
    - Operate, maintain, and monitor financial management systems according to established procedures and required schedules.
