    Serves as an IT Specialist in the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Office of Information and Security Services with the primary responsibility to provide 24x7x365 technical support for all systems and services to support mainframe connectivity infrastructure that host Fiscal Service mainframe applications.

    Responsibilities

    The open vacancies can either be in Parkersburg, WV or Kansas City, MO.

    As an IT Specialist, you will:

    - Provide 24x7x365 technical support for all systems and services to support the Fiscal Service enterprise mainframe connectivity. Perform the installation, testing, maintenance, and upgrading of equipment and software supporting the Mainframe Connectivity service provided within Fiscal Services data centers and secure areas

    - Install the necessary mainframe connectivity hardware/software and configure the hardware/software to ensure the security, interoperability and interconnectivity to and from each component

    - Evaluate mainframe connectivity hardware/software to test, modify, or improve existing mainframe connectivity services for Fiscal Service and implement new systems of greater complexity
