    This position is part of the Department of Defense . The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a senior Aegis BMD baseline test engineer in support of a comprehensive Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) test program.

    Responsibilities

    As a Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Operations Research Analyst at the NH-0801/1515-4 some of your typical work assignments may include:

    • Serving as a senior Aegis BMD baseline test engineer in support of a comprehensive Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) test program, including qualifying as a Mission Director, to characterize ballistic missile defense capabilities and support fielding of an integrated and effective capability to the Warfighter.
    • Supporting the development of data requirements, collection, analysis, and archival.
    • Supporting the acquisition programs by development of valid and appropriate test strategies.
    • Providing input to acquisition decisions based on assessment of the adequacy of test and evaluation programs and assessment of the results of tests and evaluation.
    • Supporting analysis and reporting the results of tests.
    • Monitoring the performance of technical risks for tests.
    • Developing acquisition plans, policies, and required reports to support the test infrastructure development and maintenance efforts.
    • Coordinating and managing the execution of projects including cost, schedule, and performance against agreed to baselines for assigned programs.
    • Conceiving, initiating, monitoring, and/or conducting major projects and studies of critical importance to the management of complex test and evaluation events.
    • Resolving significant and/or controversial Test and Evaluation technical matters.
    • Planning and/or designing substantial new policies and procedures for test and assessment unique requirements.
    • Participating in planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling organizational activities pertaining to all aspects of assigned program Test and Evaluation, including policy and procedure development and sound business management throughout the Missile Defense Agency.
