    Responsibilities

    • Performs office engineering for several site construction projects within a broad geographical area.
    • Prepares contract change orders and negotiates cost of changes with contractor.
    • Apply engineering theories, concepts, principles, standards to a variety of water resource focused Civil Works projects including: dredging, ecosystem restoration, levee and dam construction, and navigation structures (jetties, breakwaters, piers).
    • Coordinating technical problems involving items related field office engineering requirements in connection with the project(s).
    • Evaluates the adequacy of contractor?s requests for periodic payment.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position 10% of the time.

    Promotion Potential

    11 - May be selected at any grade level with non-competitive promotion potential to target grade. Non-competitive promotion potential to the target grade based on time-in-grade requirements and demonstrated ability to perform the higher graded duties.
