    This position is located on a Forest Service Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. Incumbent is responsible for coordinating and implementing the Career Preparation Period (CPP) plan; providing guidance and instruction to new students during their orientation period etc.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for contacting students who have been accepted to the JC program. Within timeframes established by supervisor and in accordance with any applicable requirements in guiding handbooks, expectations, and answers questions.
    • Coordinates standardized group and/or individual test administration; administers and/or coordinates academic, credentials/certification, entrance, psychological, and vocational interest testing.
    • Coordinates briefings by instructors, counselors, medical and administrative personnel, and other staff at the Center.
    • Maintains and routes training records in accordance with the CPP plan guidelines. Updates approved changes to the CPP portion of the Career Development Service System (CDSS) plan.
    • As an instructor, follows the required course material outlined in the national Job Corps curriculum. Provides instruction, tutors, directs, guides, monitors, and supervises students.
