Provides customer service to maintenance personnel on job sites by routing, handling, and expediting the purchase and movement of parts, supplies and materials for repairing Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) facilities and equipment. Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, and decisiveness to solve non-routine problems with minimal supervision or instruction. Maintains positive relationships with local vendors, base civilian and military personnel, and co-workers.
Makes daily trips out into the local area to picks up materials/supplies from local vendors, and on occasion travel to a vendor(s) outside the local area and generally within a 50 miles radius of Camp Lejeune. Will maintain a government credit card. Responsible to log, file, and code invoices. Ensure invoices have appropriate signatures consisting of end users, supervisor to support charges. Makes necessary corrections and reports discrepancies immediately.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as required.
