The Director of Financial Operations/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position is located in the Office of Administration and reports to the Director of the Office of Administration. The incumbent of this position is responsible for providing financial, budget and auditing support to the Board and the Agency. The purpose of this position is to develop, manage, administer, and monitor all financial and budgetary functions of the Agency.

The U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB) is an independent, non-regulatory scientific agency in the Executive Branch; headed by a five-person Board consisting of Presidentially appointed, Senate confirmed members serving fixed five-year terms.
