    About the Position: Defense Contract Management Agency uses the Expedited Hiring Authority to recruit and appoint qualified individuals directly into shortage category or critical need acquisition positions.

    The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grades equivalent to GS-12-13.
    Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.

    • Serves as a senior professional engineer in a Contract Management Office (CMO) of the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) to provide a variety of engineering administration and support services.
    • Performs multiple advanced engineering functioning including engineering surveillance, analytical surveillance, and technical recommendations for critical and unique changes in complex Management Engineering Systems.
    • Implements agency policy while providing expert engineering support to the software life cycle as it pertains to contracts.
    • Participates in integrated product and process teams to influence the development of future DCMA policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Assists and briefs the Chief Engineer to significant inquiries, controversial or unusual findings, and Agency recommendations.
    • Develop knowledge of new developments, best practices, surveillance techniques and advanced concepts in engineering disciplines.
    • Conducts Contract Receipt and Review (CRR) functions evaluating various review of non-conforming hardware and software.
    • Plans, executes, and documents surveillance of design, development and production efforts to determine contract adherence.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Business Travel required 10% of the Time.
